Vintage Whiting & Davis Blue Glass Cabochon Clip Earrings & Matching Ring Set Ornate Silver Tone

This vintage set pairs Whiting & Davis clip-on earrings with a matching cocktail ring. Each piece holds a large oval cabochon in deep sapphire blue, framed by an ornate silver tone border of tiny flowers, beads and leaves. The earrings are signed WHITING & DAVIS CO on the clip backs. They measure about 1 inch and fasten with comfortable clip-on backs. The ring has an open back behind the stone and a crosshatch textured base. The earring stones show some light frosting and green patina at the edges consistent with age. A classic mid-century parure with real old-Hollywood presence.
